Auric Redclaw

Just in case you'd like to know. The oyster reefs seems to be doing fine. No signs of Dermo or MSX The mature oysters are 5 to 7 inches in length and considering their stressed environment, they're in appear to be doing well.
With Oysters not being very photogenic, nor energetic. I thought that this might be a little more entertaining. For my friend Buzz Kill I present you with Auric Redclaw.(Never say die) A male Blue Crab willing to fight while he holds onto his mate.

Hey Karl, this IS super cool. It terrifies me though! And also, the haiku gift has been received, thank you very much!

Chickory: Thanks

Pam: They're only about 5 inches across. You could get a nasty pinch from one of the claws, but that's about it.

You're welcome. Have fun with them.

Did you have to move that blue claw to set the underwater explosives? Bwahahahaha You are amazing and scary all at the same time. Looking forward to seeing your space shuttle pictures.

Bwahahahahaha to Buzz. Awesome stuff. Which I love looking at from the safety of dry land :o)

Are the oysters as tasty as the crab?

Wow! I love this. How did you do it? Also glad to know all is well down below.

Chickory: sorry I haven't gotten by much, I always seem to be running out of time. Fine job on your post today.

Buzz Kill: No not this time, yet whenever I do set off explosives underwater. I do my best to scare the locals out of the way to avoid collateral damage. As far as the shuttle goes. I wish. I didn't have enough of the right kind of schooling to make the program and they turned me down.

Moi: I find them both quite tasty. The oysters involved in this program are protected, we grow them for oyster population restoration.

Boxer: It's just a bunch of snapshots I took with a camera mounted to my mask. Get close enough to the crabs and they start trying to protect themselves. Doublers don't like to move much, less they break the connection. So they'll stay and fight a little longer than single crabs. Ah, the things we do for love.

Eggy: You're welcome. I attended a conference this week and one of the fellows attending was an EOD teck, his's hometown is very close to the lake in your recent travels in South Dakota. A truly nice guy, he reminded me of how nice some of the people from that part of the country can be.

Aunty Belle: It's just what I do for fun.

Joanna: Ahahaha, that presents an interesting mental picture. I hope you both enjoy.

Bama Trav: They're one of my favorites. Nothing like a dozen on the half shell, with cold beer and Tabasco.
