Movie clip Wednesday:Hugh Grant Inspired Fringe

Welcome to movie clip Wednesday this week's topic: Hugh Grant Inspired Fringe. Hosted by our very own, Joanna Cake. If you care to play find a clip try to make it less than 3 minutes and go by Joanna's site and tell her you're up.

I have to admit I had to search Hugh Grant to remember who he was. I've only seen 2 of his movies. They were: Bridget Jones's Diary and 4 Weddings and a Funeral. Nor am I clever enough to figure out the "Inspired Fringe" portion of the topic. So I decided to wing it. Not that I bear the man any ill will. I just couldn't remember who he was. This is the reason for choosing this clip. Please enjoy.

Savannah: Excuse my ignorance, what is MITM? I did a search and none of the results seem to fit.

Hi Karl, Happy clip day!
In my opinion you have not missed an awful lot in not seeing mr grants opus of romcoms... Pick any one and he's playing the same character...
Even the writers have him saying the same or similar lines to previous roles...

Happy MCW.

Oh Hai Savannah...
*waves and blows kisses*

Oh and Karl... I know what MITM is... but feel I should defer to Savannah for the answer ... It would be impolite for me to tell.

I like Hugh Grant but he always seems to play the same character. Love him in About a Boy. Anyway, i am assuming "fringe" means what we would call bangs, or his hairstyle. His floppy hairstyle. Or it could be his escapade with the hooker in Hollywood that one time.

Princess: From the two I saw I had the same impression.

Perhaps Savannah has decided that I'm not on the "need to know list".

Pam: I think you're right. Stop by Princesses place, he posted a picture of the mugshot.

I never saw that 4WaaF trailer commercial before. I actually liked this movie, but mainly for the best man toast scene and the priest wedding vows scene (with Mr. Bean). The rest of the movie was just filler.

Happy MCW!

i have only seen one hugh grant movie -sense and sensibility and he was the weakest actor in it. he always plays a befuddled awkward guy. Happy MCW

oh mercy, I cain't keep up! MCW??? I came to congratulate fer yore stellar Haiku win--yea yea yea!

Hugh Grant? is thar' some wee recollection that he is a bit of a naughty fella?

Buzz Kill: I found it by accident. The toast scene was the best part of the movie.

Foam: I remember liking it also, yet I think it had more to do with the company, than the movie.

Chickory: I've only seen two he seemed to be the same character in both.

Aunty Belle: Thank you, the topic turned out to be more enjoyable than I expected. You're "Kiss" was my favorite.

LMAO... Karl, that was inspired!

Like Princess said, Hugh tends to play the same character whatever movie he is in... and the whole floppy fringe look became quite the hairdo for leading males so when I said Hugh Grant Inspired Floppy Fringe, I didn't actually mean that the fringe was inspired more that it influenced other haircuts :P

Yeah, I can't forget Hugh Grant simply for getting that blowjob from a NASTY WHORE on the side when his GIRLFRIEND at the time was Elizabeth Hurley.

WHAT A MORON !

Joanna: (slaps forehead) Now I understand.

Heff: Isn't it interesting, how so many sitting in the high ground, shoot themselves in the foot.
