Anonymous Boxer is our host. If you wish to play. Post a clip on your site. Try to make it 3 minutes or less, then stop by Boxer's site say I'm up, with the title of your movie. The topic for this week is: Best kiss. Yeah I know, tell me about it.
Houseboat is a 1958 romantic comedy film starring Cary Grant, Sophia Loren. The Kiss is brief, more of a shift from cheek to cheek. But, it's all I could find that would appeal to the ladies in the audience. And for the men. Well, Sophie isn't hard look at.
And to save a trace of manly respectability. I give you not a kiss but an embrace. Excalibur the final scene.(It's at the end of the clip, sorry about the lenth)

Sophia is so pretty! And I love that 'kiss'. It really is just a brush of cheeks, but it says so much more than some of the really passionate lip lockings.
As to Excalibur, it's one of my favourite films. Lots of hairy men exuding testosterone and camaraderie. It's a shame that most modern men cannot show their feeling for each other with an embrace without feeling embarrassed.
**puts hand to heart**
CARY GRANT! Oh lordy. That's a man. He aged perfectly too.
I loved Excalibur, remember seeing it in the theater. It was before the Hollywood big budgets and it's a very dark/real movie.
Good picks!
Jesus ! Is everyone supposed to choose the OLDEST clip they can find ?
What about Rock Hudson ?
oH yEah.....
there was such heat between those two..they had a litle thing going on too...she was going to leave ponti but decided not to ..
i would have .sigh*
excalibur was a great movie
Joanna: Yes, she is a beauty.
The feelings expressed in that particular embrace(deep hatred) are now expressed at a distance since the invention of gunpowder.
Boxer: He did age well, I should look so good at 85.
Excalibur was the first movie I had on tape. Liked it that much.
Heff: A few weeks ago I put up a silent movie.
I never cared much for Rock Hudson.
Jackie Sue: Apparently, they had trouble finishing houseboat, because of the breakup between the two.
I've never seen Houseboat but Sophia Loren was (is) a hottie. Excalibur is my favorite Arthur movie - even though they all had Canadian accents. Father, let us embrace, eh?
Happy MCW!
Buzz Kill: It's an easy watch, give it a try, if you can find it.
UNcle would agree--he is a Sophia fan. I must say, I agree wif' Cake--most overheated graphic saliva swappin these days is borin', but the ole "almost" routine holds up over the years.
Excalibiur!!!
Aunty Belle: I've known Uncle has good taste for sometime now.
Good to see you having a little time to get around.
Always got a kick out of Excalibur. All those British stage actors chewing the scenery LOL
KARL!?! you used to live in Choctaw?? Well, the big Love's Store, right off the highway at I-40 and Choctaw Road... yeah, it's gone. It's still just so strange to think about. I'm here in Moore, nearly to Norman, and it looks as though more storms are headed this way tonight. :/
Kym: Yes, I did. I remember the store. I hope no one was hurt, when it took off to the land of oz.
You keep head down, when the storms are blowning. Do you have a storm shelter?
