Movie Clip Wednesday: Humans Under Attack

Welcome to movie clip Wednesday this week's topic: Humans Under Attack. Hosted by the lovely Joanna Cake. If you care to play find a clip try to make it less than 3 minutes and go by Joanna's site and tell her you're up.

I've been kinda busy of late, but couldn't miss this topic. so many movies are based on something or other out to destroy the human race. From aliens to asteroids to viruses, there is alot to pick from. So the pick for this one is Them! is a 1954 American black and white science fiction film about man's encounter with a nest of gigantic irradiated ants. (Yes Buzz black and white)One of the first of the "nuclear monster" movies, it was nominated for an Academy Award for Special Effects. The film starts off as a simple suspense story, with police investigating mysterious disappearances and unexplainable deaths. The giant ants are not even seen until almost a third of the way into the film. Staring James Arness, Edmund Gwenn,Joan Weldon. The use of the Thompson submachine gun throughout the movie, helps to prove the old adage "when you can't hit the spot, fire alot. The moral to the story and it's still true today. We are our own worst enemy. I hope you enjoy.

Joanna: I had not though of being Referee. What a great idea;-)

With any luck, I will get home this weekend and things will get back to normal.

Bwahahahahahaha! Sho'nuff :o)

I think I've actually seen this movie and found it suitably creepy because if you've ever closely watched the determination and strength of an ant? Your immediate thought would be just how easily these critters could take over the world.

Hope all is well in YOURS.

Moi: I have watched Ants, they are amazing in their strength and perseverance. Scale them up to that size and we might lose.

Thank you it is. A warm hand to hold and smiling faces around.
