Movie clip Wednesday: The Thin Man

Welcome to movie clip Wednesday this week's topic: The Thin Man. Hosted by our very own, Joanna Cake. If you care to play find a clip try to make it less than 3 minutes and go by Joanna's site and tell her you're up.

For some reason our dear Joanna has blessed me with my own topic. Well maybe not my own, yet certainly closer to my tastes than any of the other members of the group. Black and white, beautiful women beautiful fashion and lots of fun. If you haven't seen these movies you're really should. The chemistry between William Powell and Myrna loy is so fun to watch. For your viewing enjoyment, my two favorite YouTube clips of Nick and Nora Charles.

Sneaking off getting drunk...without me.

For reals? This is the theme? :-)

You ARE in heaven, aren't you?

Mr. Boxer recently rented most of the Thin Man series from the public library and ripped them to his computer. A very happy man and told him he had a friend far away on the East Coast. :-) Happy MCW!

The theme is "black and white?"

Anyway, just watched "The General" by Buster Keaton. Kicking it Old School, baby!

Are you packing dear? I'm just putting away the liquor now. Bwahahaha

I never realized Nick and Nora were a couple of raging alcoholics. How did they ever solve a case?

Happy MCW!

Boxer: Isn't it neat! Joanna gave me my own week.

He most certainly does, similar senses of humor.

I hope your trip was all you needed it to be.

Troll: No, the thin man.

Buster Keaton is also one of my favorites.

Are you gonna start back up soon? Perhaps you should try some level of comments moderation.

Aunty Belle: It's still Wednesday you have plenty of time.

If Uncle hasn't seen any of these, he should. The first two are best.

I've become a huge fan of the Thin Man because of you. These movies are charming in a way few things are anymore. Happy MCW to you!

Moi: Gee, thank you. I'm glad you like them. Doesn't she have some great dresses?

I adore these movies!

LOL @ Boxer - Well, you did suggest the first two themes!

There is something very appealing about these movies with the underlying current that doesnt take itself too seriously like most detective/crime solving films.

Thanks for playing, Karl x

I left a comment last week--did Blogger chomp it?

Ole movies have a far higher amusement quotient.
