Anonymous Boxer is our host. If you wish to play. Post a clip on your site. Try to make it 3 minutes or less, then stop by Boxer's site say I'm up, with the title of your movie. The topic for this week is: documentaries. This turned out to be a hard one. Spent lots of time and never could find the clip I was looking for. It was from a documentary based on the book The Living Sea written by Jacques Cousteau.(One of the first real books I ever read) It may have been the pilot for the television series. And some of footage in this clip seems to predate the television series. Some of these images helped to lead me where I am today. It's fun to watch and set to the music Calypso by John Denver.

It's Blue Angels day in Annapolis, part of the Naval Academy graduation. It's a great show and quite the party. I will try to get around late this afternoon.

Oh, the wonderful Jacques Cousteau who is the only person who could get me back into the water after Jaws :)

I grew up watching Jacques Cousteau specials on TV. What a guy. Great pick and it brought back some nice memories.

Have fun today!

Heff: Maybe Butlik could do a few of his tunes at their next jam session.

Joanna: Jaws ruined the water for so many. I'm glad he helped you, overcome your fear.

Boxer: If Sea Hunt was the hook, Flipper was the line and Cousteau was the sinker.

We did.

Aunty Belle: You know most days, I think to myself. Hot dog I get paid for doing this. Mind you there are a few when I think why didn't I get a real job, like my brother. But they're few.

A Blue Angels were great! Precision, power and performance. I've watched this team fly since I was a little boy and I still love it every time.

Jackie Sue: I'm glad you liked it. Although, I have to ask. Did you want to go as crew or were you planning a date;)

As someone born and raised in the desert, I've always been so in awe, and a little bit frightened, of the ocean. So I got to enjoy it vicariously through a lot of Cousteau shows. He was awesome. But I still won't get out in the middle of the ocean. Rogue waves, you know.

I remember Jacques Cousteau from TV and was always impressed with the Calypso and the then state-of-the-art equipment he and his crew used. And the daring things they did.

I have fond memories of the Blue Angels from when I worked in the YP boat basin back in 02 and 03. We'd watch the show (saw them twice) from the bridge of whatever boat we were working on and they would fly right over top of us. The sound was incredible.

Happy MCW!

Moi: Rogue waves, Ha. Driving down the highway is much more dangerous.

Buzz Kill: If you get a minute stop by, I'll post a picture you may appreciate.
