The solstice is at 05:45 GMT tomorrow.

Have a Great first day of Summer!

And any fathers out there

Do something fatherly

It's your day!

A pod of Dolphin was playing outside my window this morning.

Hoping it's a good omen!

Good Afternoon
I saw the other day and thought it was worth posting. The reality of the situation is that if we don’t start producing products again, quality products that is our economy must ultimately fail.

If we take all this bailout money spent it on products manufactured outside the United States or allow the corporation’s receiving these funds to use them to set up production facilities outside of the country we will not recover economically.

Try and spend a day looking at the “made in” information on products you use daily and you’ll see how hard it is to find “ made in the USA”.

John Smith started the day early having set his alarm clock

(MADE IN JAPAN) for 6 am.

While his
coffeepot

(MADE IN CHINA )

was perking, he shaved with his
electric razor

(MADE IN HONG KONG )

He put on a
dress shirt

(MADE IN SRI LANKA),

designer jeans

(MADE IN SINGAPORE)
and
tennis shoes

(MADE IN KOREA)

After cooking his breakfast in his new
electric skillet

(MADE IN INDIA )

he sat down with his
calculator

(MADE IN MEXICO)

to see how much he could spend today. After setting his
watch

(MADE IN TAIWAN)

to the radio

(MADE IN INDIA)

he got in his
car

(MADE IN GERMANY)

filled it with
GAS

(from Saudi Arabia)

and continued his search

for a good paying AMERICAN JOB.

At the end of yet another
discouraging

and
fruitless day

checking his
Computer

(made in MALAYSIA),

John decided to relax for a while.

He put on his
sandals

(MADE IN BRAZIL),

poured himself a glass of
wine

(MADE IN FRANCE)

and turned on his
TV

(MADE IN INDONESIA),

and then wondered why he can't
find a good paying job
in The United States

AND NOW HE'S HOPING HE CAN GET HELP FROM A PRESIDENT
MADE IN KENYA

An update from a previous post for those of you that were kind enough to ask: the bones are mostly healed and the surgeons have stitched the rest back together. They tell me I should be good as new in nine months to a year, now how I can be good as new at my age, I don’t know, we’ll see.
