It's all twue! Well, other than the untrue parts. I won't tease and ask if these are products you use. I don't think that is understood as a joke always. Something about the flatness of 2-d interactions. Though, do you? Thanks for the chuckles.
Good Afternoon Karl, You have some like minds playing today. If someone ever did make a wrinkle cream with results to match that photograph.... well that would be the wealthiest person on the planet in under a week. Happy Monday.
ahahahah! Cheerios! You mean puffed up white flour with milk and probably sugar added to it, doesn't reduce cholesterol? I'm shocked! I think you have to eat 20bowls a day to reach the necessary fiber requirement. And we do have the same wrinkle photo, but it's a good one and deserves to be seen twice. I think all advertising is false to a degree.
With apologies to Benjamin Disraeli, I'd just like to say that there are three kinds of lies in this world: Lies, damned lies, and the crap that comes out of a politician's mouth.
Buzz Kill: Hard to believe they were stretching the truth isn't it.
Doom: No they're not products I use, most of them I would have no use for especially the last one. That one I'm being used by. Glad it was good for a grin.
Fishy: Well...great minds think alike.
Yes they would, the sad part is all the ones that are getting rich selling products that don't work.
Boxer: You're right, it is all twisted in one way or an another. But, these days even news programs are saturated with advertisements that they put out as legitimate news.
Mercy Karl-- really---Cherrios used a kid puttin' cheerios in Daddy's pocket to help his heart--and it DOESN'T??? I crestfallen. But the rest of yore advertisements will pump me back up?
Aunty Belle: On General Mills is own web site you can find this statement: The Food and Drug Administration approved a health claim in 1997 that linked soluble fiber from oats – like the fiber in Cheerios – to reduced risk of coronary disease. it's the oats themselves that were found to be beneficial in the studies not necessarily Cheerios.
Following the dietary guidelines recommended by General Mills would tend to reduce ones cholesterol whether they were eating Cheerios or not. It's not that Cheerios aren't good for you, it is that the advertising is misleading and overstates the effectiveness of the product.
Kym: You can still enjoy your Cheerios, simply beware of marketers willing to twist the truth just to sell their product.
I agree with you, the wrinkle lady is the scariest thing I've seen this Halloween season.
Well, Karl...My first trip here! Thanks for stopping by Stick It, Tuesday! But, you have totally devastated me. It's like learning about the Easter Bunny..
No lower cholesterol? No better emissions? Hummer doesn't use less gas? WE CAN'T BELIEVE IN THE CHANGE???
Oh, the horror!!!! I have to go curl up in the fetal position and suck my thumb for the rest of the day...*sigh But, I will be back for more mute Mondays!!
Janie: Welcome, Oh...I'm sure you'll muddle through somehow. I'm told by a pretty good source, that Rum helps.
