Both candidates for president are talking about sending two additional brigades into the Afghan theater of operation neither one is talking about the real issue.
Mobilizing two additional brigades to Afghanistan (regardless of where they come from) will do little good unless they can chase the bad guys into Pakistan. The bases and camps where they hide and train are in Pakistan. It is time to tell the Pakistani government that they need to put forth a real effort into eliminating these groups and allow U.S. and coalition forces to cross their border. If they do not comply we cut off all forms of aid and cross the border anyway. We have been giving them billions in aid and receiving little more than fly over rights and lip service, this has cost far to many lives.
